Lovely, finely detailed canopic jar features Qebsenuf, Son of Horus and Lord of the East - because of his falcon head, he is often confused with his father, Horus.

Canopic jars were used in ancient Egypt to hold the removed internal organs of a mummy. Today, they make lovely containers, vases - even funeral urns! This piece is 9 1/2 inches high and is made of hand painted cold cast resin.
