Lovely, finely detailed canopic jar features Imseti, Son of Horus and Lord of the West. Canopic jars were used in ancient Egypt to hold the removed internal organs of a mummy. Today, they make lovely containers, cookie jars, vases - even funeral urns!
This piece is 9 1/2 inches high and is made of ceramic (if used for food, line with a plastic bag - the glaze used is not considered food safe). Holds about 34 oz.
