Egyptian Hieroglyphic cartouche says I Love You in Gold plated bronze - the perfect gift.
This cartouche, read from top to bottom, spells “I love you” in hieroglyphic script, which can represent objects as well as letters or sounds.
Upon finding the Rosetta Stone in 1799 in the Nile River delta and its subsequent deciphering by the French linguist, Jean Francois Champollion in 1822, the ancient Egyptian sacred writing could finally be understood.
Made in bronze with a gold plated finish, this necklace comes with an 18 inch gold finished chain and comes gift boxed - a perfect gift for the one you love.

Gold Vermeil |
Vermeil is a combination of sterling silver, gold, and other precious metals, commonly used as a component in jewelry. A typical example is sterling silver coated with 14 carat (58%) gold. To be considered vermeil, the gold must be at least 10 carat (42%) and be at least 2.5 micrometres thick. Vermeil can be produced by either fire-gilding or electrolysis. Today, vermeil is safely produced by electrolysis. It is very durable with normal wear but as with all plating methods, it can be worn away in reaction with some people or chemicals |
Bronze |
Bronze is a metal alloy consisting primarily of copper, usually with tin as the main additive. Bronze was especially suitable for use in boat and ship fittings prior to the wide employment of stainless steel owing to its combination of toughness and resistance to salt water corrosion. In the twentieth century, silicon was introduced as the primary alloying element, creating an alloy with wide application in industry and the major form used in contemporary statuary. Aluminum is also used for the structural metal aluminum bronze. It is also widely used for cast bronze sculpture and jewelry. Since it is primarily copper, it can take on a dark greenish patina over time and is often coated with a protective finish to slow this process. |
